The European Commission - EC and the Hungarian Presidency of the Council co-organized the final conference of the EC Structured Dialogue in Budapest, Hungary from 16 to 19 May 2011.

The Final Conference concluded the 14 months initiative on: “Structured Dialogue for an effective partnership in development”, which aimed at increasing the effectiveness of all stakeholders involved in EU development cooperation.

During the Final Conference, ACRLI’s Representative Ms. Joyce HAKMEH presented the concluding remarks and acted as the panelist at a session on “From Developmental to Political: The paradigm shift in EU democracy promotion” and another session on the “Added Value of engaging Non State Actors in budget support and in sector programmes”.

The Final Conference included members of the European Parliament, European Commission and EU delegations, Member states, as well as several International and European institutions, Embassies, academics, etc.
