The Arab Center for the Rule of Law and Integrity (ACRLI)
in cooperation with Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) organized
a national workshop on “Trafficking in Persons” was
held on June 21, 2016 at Gefinor Rotana Hotel, Beirut, Lebanon.
The workshop falls within the framework of the continual
efforts and activities which are carried out by FES and ACRLI to strengthen the
rule of law and support the respect of human rights. It shall tackle the various
aspects and faces of trafficking in persons. It will shed light over legislative
and regulatory gaps, raise awareness about the implications on trafficking of
persons and the various factors and causes that allow the human trafficking to
flourish.The workshop will also address the mechanisms and means of prevention,
the cooperation measures interchanged between the national and international
partners at every level such as the private sector, civil society, legal
community and international community to fight and combat trafficking in
persons.
