Third Town Hall Meeting on New Voting Techniques Held in Ghosta (August 12, 2026)
As part of the “Inclusive Democratic Participation: Enhancing Education, Engagement and Oversight in Lebanon” project, the Arab Center for the Development of the Rule of Law and Integrity (ACRLI), in collaboration with Ghosta Club, organized the third Town Hall Meeting on “New Voting Techniques” at Ghosta Club, with the participation of citizens and individuals interested in public affairs.
The meeting provided an interactive space for discussion and exchange of views on ways to improve the electoral process in Lebanon. Participants were introduced to and engaged in discussions on a number of modern voting methods and options, while their views, observations, aspirations, and suggestions regarding their potential adoption in the Lebanese context were also heard and discussed.
The meeting was part of a series of activities and initiatives aimed at promoting democratic participation across different regions of Lebanon, strengthening a culture of participation and accountability, and fostering direct dialogue with citizens on issues related to elections and democratic reforms. It also highlighted the importance of engaging citizens, particularly young people, in discussions related to the development of democratic life.
The project is implemented by the Arab Center for the Development of the Rule of Law and Integrity (ACRLI) in partnership with the European Centre for Electoral Support (ECES), with the support of the European Union.
